Maa Danteshwari
Cultivates herbs having high medicinal values and which are required for production of rare ayurvedic preparations on a large scale.
Maa Danteshwari Herbal Products Ltd (MDHPL) was set up in 1995 by Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, CEO. The company is engaged in the organic farming of medicinal plants. Dr. Tripathi left his government job to start organic farming.
“We are a group of 5 expert scientists, 3 marketing management professionals, 15 farm managers, 30 field supervisors and 400 tribal families. All are backed by an advisory board of 22 eminent personalities from various sectors of society,” avers Dr. Tripathi.
He adds, “Our mission is to promote organic farming in India and to introduce the farming sector to good earnings (Rs. 15000 to 200,000 per acre per annum earning) through high value medicinal and aromatic plants farming and processing. We have devoted our services for the upliftment of farmers. We also aim to rejuvenate the vanishing herbal heritage of the country, especially Bastar region.” Maa Danteshwari Herbal Products Ltd. is an ISO 22000:2005 (FSMS) certified company and has also won the Best Exporter award.
Dr. Tripathi further maintains that the company received various awards for its services, “We were awarded the Best Exporter Award by Vegetable Grower Association of India, Outstanding Person of the Year in the field of herbal farming by Chhattisgarh Government and recently Herbal Scientist Award by Vishwa Ayurved Parishad.” Maa Danteshwari has its head office in Raipur and its research centre in Kondagaon, Bastar district, Chhattisgarh.
Herbs Cultivated
Maa Danteshwari Herbal Farms cultivates herbs having high medicinal values and which are required for production of rare ayurvedic preparations on a large scale. It has 16 farms spread over 1400 acres. “We have our own land and also have a lifetime contract with CHAMF (another organization of ours), 10,000 farmers with 20,000 acres of land for organic farming and marketing their products.
Apart from this we also have nursery and tissue culture lab with existing capacity of 20 lakhs plants per annum and extendable,” informs Dr. Tripathi. When asked about the important herbal plants the company cultivates, Dr. Tripathi says, “Based on extensive research, market surveys and deep analysis of domestic and international markets, we have identified more than 42 medicinal and aromatic plants, flowers, cereals, vegetable and spices, especially safed musli, stevia, ashwagandha, satavari, annatto-bixa and bramhi beside others.”
Elaborating on the company’s association with Central Herbal Agro Marketing Federation of India (CHAMF), he says, “Typically a farmer can hope to earn no more than Rs 15,000 per acre per year from his land, that too if rain and other factors are favorable. Through association with us, farmers have earned more than Rs 1,00,000 (One lac) per acre. This has been made possible by scientific techniques, expert supervision, choice of herbal and medicinal crops, organic ways and forward linkages of produce to markets.”
He adds, “Farmers have been associated through “CHAMF” (Central Herbal Agro Marketing Federation of India), a body recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, and of which I am the President. At present there are 20,000 farmers are member throughout India and there are much more who are indirectly benefiting from our initiative.”

I have a following project in my mind:-
I am interested in cultivating all the 360 species of genus Elaeocarpus belonging to family elaeocarpaceae known in various parts of the world as Rudraksha(Asia),Blue Berry Ash(Australia & Newzealand),Silver Quandong (US & Europe), Blue Marble tree etc. I am particularly interested in the species Elaeocarpus ganitrus Roxb. for religious reasons. Can you supply the seeds of all these species, at least those found in your locality?

We have an agriculture land of 500 Acres in NH7 Penukonda, Andhra Pradesh, India for joint venture. On reasonable terms which has a high potential for fast growth vegetable, fruits and medicinal plant (Tulsi) farming.
Currently, we are doing Gherkins and Sweet corn Hi-tech plantation for export company and also under the process of negotiating for (Four) more products which are export oriented product more over, some agro Companies are already visited the land and identified for their product plantation.
Here deal is very simple, you bring the investment, technology and execute the operation and even you can export the goods, we are not going to involve anything in it. What we can do is, we will provide the land for you or else we undertake contract farming also.
Adding to your advantage is that, as we have already started we have got the labors and water source which we are using. Still very good number of acres of land is left out. If you are interested revert back to the same ID or contact at +919980178658
Thanks.
