Earned the distinction of being one of the largest manufacturer of SSP in India.
Khaitan Chemicals and Fertilizer Ltd. was established in 1984 by Mr. Sailesh Khaitan as a new venture. Speaking about the inspiration behind the company, Mr. R.S. Vijay Vargeya, president, says, “India being an agro based country, we saw growth in this sector related to agriculture.” The company has its head office in Indore, MP.
The main products the company manufactures are single super phosphate, Oleum 65%, Oleum 23%, Soya meal, Single super phosphate (G), Soya edible refined oil, and liquid super tri-oxide and sulphuric acid. “KCFL has earned the distinction of being one of the largest manufacturer of SSP in India,” avers Mr. Vargeya. The company sells fertilizer under the brand name “Khaitan Khad”, a brand leader in western Madhya Pradesh.
Initially the Group consists of the following companies: Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. – Single Super Phosphate and Sulphuric Acid; and Khaitan Agro – Solvent Extraction Plant.
The Group has an installed capacity of 847500 TPA of Single Super Phosphate & 221,100 TPA of Sulphuric Acid and 3325 KW of captive power generation and 1400 TPA Solvent Extraction Plant, 100 TPA Refinery.
The company has manufacturing units in Ratlam, Nimrani, Jhansi, Malwan and Nimbahera. “KCFL manufactures single super phosphate, oleum 65%, oleum 23%, soya meal, single super phosphate (g), soya edible refined oil, and liquid super tri-oxide, sulphuric acid at these units,” avers Mr. Vargeya.

KCFL manufactures the following products:
* Single Super Phosphate: Single Super Phosphate is one of the cheapest sources of direct application phosphatic fertilizer with a high sulfur content of 12% making it very popular with the farmers. It is extensively used in crops like oil seeds, groundnut, potato etc. “SSP contains phosphate and sulphur besides calcium and other micro nutrient. It is required mainly for oil seed, sugar cane, pulses and all other crops,” avers Mr. Vargeya.
