Ashok Wadhawan is having over 36 years experience .Out of this 15 years of hands on working experience exclusively in value addition to all types of wastes.
With primarily mission “to develop, design and operate facility and conduct an activity taking into consideration the efficient use of energy & material; sustainable use of renewable resources, maximization of adverse environmental impact & waste segregation; and safe & responsible disposal or reuse of wastes or by products through value addition “established Indian Agricultural Research Institute’s Biomass Utilization Unit in Institute-New Delhi (2007-2010). Initial efforts were in utilization of surplus biomass that consisted of branches, bushes, dry or green leaves & other residue and pruned wastes, whereby in house composting,FYM,Vermi-composting is successfully done.Presentation is attached for ready reference.
Left over wastes that cannot be consumed by animals is made into bio briquettes for use in boilers & or branches, bushes are cut to smaller sizes for use in bio mass based gasifie rs to generate green electrical power.
Now focus is on utilization of dry cereal roughage's and compaction by densification into blocks of fodder. This results in savings on transportation expenses, provision of balance& complete mixed ration for all types of animals-big or small; apart from maintaining hygiene and savings of storage space.More than 75 fodder block making machines are presently making of fodder blocks at various locations in the country and abroad.
