Setting up of Poly House: Consultancy Reqd

Hi,
I would like to set-up polyhouse in an acre and depending on the feasibility, to increase the set-up upto 10 acres.I would need the below inputs who have knowledge or hands on experience in setting up a poly house.
i)Is this profitable?
ii) What are the risk involved
iii)Can we get a second hand poly house set up?

Dear Avinash,

One acre polyhouse is possible, but not economical.
Hence,One ha is desirable to experiment.

It is profitable, provided landlord does not remain absent
& operates till he gets a grip over the operations.

Better to visit secondhand polyhouses & take a view.these are available.

Thanks for your quick reply.As I'm a newbie in agriculture, I would really like to know if the profits mentioned in polyhouse is really true. As you had suggested, I will be making a visit to some polyhouse near my place.

I am working as executive - Marketing in M/s Germini Agro Pvt. Ltd.. We are supplying Hitech Planting material for the cut flower production. The details are as follows: -

a. Carnation plants of M/s Barberet & Blanc SA. M/s Barberet & Blanc Carnation plants very well in Indian climatic condition.

b. Gerbera plants of M/s Terra Nigra. It flower is looking bright and its diameter is bigger than any other breeder available in India. Intially, M/s Terra Nigra has started to supply the Gerbera plants in India.

c. We are also importing Bulbs crop from Netherlands.

d. We are also supplying Computerized Fertigation machine in India. It helps Greenhouse growers to get the good crop.

e. We are also importing Carnation supporting net for Indian growers.
