Default carbo credit potencial of biomass power/thermal project

Dear All,
I would like to bring to your kind notice that utilisation of biomass residue (rice husk, mustard husk, etc) as fuel for generation of power or steam in boiler qualifies to claim carbon credit under the kyoto’s flexible mechanism called Clean Development Mechanism.

As per CDM (Clean Development Mechanism), projects which claim to reduce emissions of harmful Green House Gases (GHG) can be issued CERs or generally called Carbon Credits by getting the project registered with United Nations CDM Executive Board. These credits can be sold in international market to add extra financial benefits for the company. At present each credit is sold at a rate of 15-17 Euros.

Roughly, a 1MW biomass based power plant can generate 6300 carbon credits per annum. Equivalent to annual revenue of Rs 50 lakhs for a period of 10 years. However, The process of generation and issuance of credits involve a very stringent and tedious step wise process, involving report preparation, approval from ministry, approval for third party, approval from United Nations , monitoring and certification etc.

We at Enzen Global Solution assist Project owner in designing, approval, validation, registration, monitoring and issuance of CERs with the UNFCCC CDM EB and will also assist in finding the buyers of these CERs. For the same we charge minimal upfront consultancy fees, along with a project success fees which is charged after issuance and sale of CERs.

If you have any potential CDM project in mind please do let us know, our technical team will come to you and explain you about the potential CDM benefits and services offered by Enzen Global, Bangalore.

We look forward to being provided an opportunity to develop a CDM project in your fine organization. We assure you of our committed efforts and best service.

Thanks & Regards

Krishan Kumar Kapil
