Dear Sir,
How do you differentiate between yellow & white shatavari seedlings. What I have heard is that the roots are boiled and the skin is removed thus giving yellow color to the roots.
If the roots are boiled doesnt the active principle extracted in water ?
Regards,
Manu

Default Difference in yellow and deshi satawari

Plants of two cultivars are morphologically different.yellow cultivar grows strait and does not require support. It is short stratured plant while deshi grow like climber and needs support. There are good numbers of bigger size spines on the stem of deshi cultivar. there is very visible thread in deshi tuber whereas it is not in yellow.these are some major difference in two cultivars.
