Default Moringa Seeds

Hi Aadhi
PKM2 moringa seeds are available from Periakulam Agriculture University Tamilnadu.
PKM2 is not suitable for market because of its over size (1m length).
PKM1 is well suited for all kind of markets.
Seeds will be available after Aug.

Dear aadi,
Don't go for seeds of muringa for planting, the seeds didn't show mother plants all qualities, because cross-pollination from other plants. So, please contact a reputed nursery or govt. farm for layered (grafted) sapplings.
Regards.

Hi Aathi
Cross-polination will affect the quality of the drumstik when you use the seed for plantation. Size and colour will get badly affected by the cross polination. Saplings are not available from govt horticulture board. You can get the saplings from private nursery but you should be carefull about quality.

Dear Aadhi
Now i have 4 months old plantation. To get the result i need to wait for 3 more months.
I can let you know only if i get the better result from my moringa(sapling) plantation.
So don't want to disclose the nursery name until i find that as a reliable one.
You can check with sasi if he has any reliable nursery cotacts.

Arrow Seeds are Good for nursery!

Kind attention to one and all

Drum stick can be propogated thru seeds. It is proven method of propagation across the country. Tamil Nadu Agriculture University released PKM-1 variety, which is a Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat success in among farming community. TNAU recommended seeds for plantation.

It is a misleading statement that seeds are not advisable for propagaion. IF the seeds are not from a reliable source there will be a chance of failure. Since ten years, we recommended many farmers to source drumstick seeds from Tamilnadu, and we got excellent results. As a leading consultants of the country we provided consultancy for may farmeres for drumstick cultivation.

So, you can go ahead with seeds for the plantation. PKM 2 is not advisable. PKM 1 is a wonderful, excellent and proven variety.

We can provide any information about the PKM 1 seeds, nyrsery, plantation etc. In good managment you can make profits in Moringa oleifera.

Good Luck everybody!

Hi aadhi
what raghu ram mentioned is correct. I have been cultivating the PKM-1 Drumstik since 2000. It is giving good yield and return.
Initially you can go with PKM1.
