The Specs of Stevia Seeds are as follows:



Quality- Grading:


Seeds are hand screened through first a large screen to remove Stevia leaves and stem parts and then

on top of a very fine screen to remove dust, dirt and most stevia powder attached to the seeds.


These leaves a 90% pure product consisting of Stevia Seeds with their plume attached and 10% stevia

plant parts ( ideal for fertilization when planted).


Average seed count of this grade is approximately 1200 seeds per gram.


Expected germination rate is 50% but here in India rate run as high as 75% for these quality of seeds

however many factors effect germination rate such as temperature, irrigation, soil type, length of daylight at location of plantation.


These seeds are best planted within 6 months of harvest for best results.



Recommendations for enhanced germination rate of Stevia seeds:



Storing:

Keep seeds in cold, dark and dry place.



Planting:


Seeds shall be planted within 6 month of purchase for best results.

Ideally seeds shall be planted along with its plume in about 10 seeds per hole.

Slow dripping irrigation is ideal.

Temperatures shall be between 15 to 25 C.



Expected Germination Rates:

This superior quality of Stevia seeds shall germinate at a rate of 50%. Some local tests have reached as high as 75% however, many external

factors influence the success rate.
