STEVIA MARKET STATUS

In the last three months, the market is indeed responding to stevia dried leaf, semi processed product. We have liquidated our entire stock of 7 years. However we had to compromise on prices. The market is accepting stevia tea cut leaf (a properitory product of ASR) at Rs. 120 per kg. We have sold over 9 tons in the last 3 months. This has to be the direction in the near future for dried leaf markets.

It is not viable to market stevia whole leaf as per our experience.

We are still struggling to sell our stevia based products due to lack of awarness.

Stevia planting material market has become highly dicy. Quality material is available at Rs. 4.00. There are too many players in this area and quacks proclaim to be professionals. Do not always belive in stories of material suppliers who themselves have no experience of actual cultivation and marketing. Stevia also has FLY BY NIGHT operators like the other sectors of agri market.
