Default Petroleum........

Good news!
Petrol up by Rs4/liter.
Diesel up by Rs2/liter.
This is how our rulers promote the growth of petroleum since many decades.
The worst imbalance is the Govt.of India continue to bow down to petroleum instead of attempting to find a solution with an alternate fuel.Well, if the Govt.of India feel that Raising the fuel price a only solution to ensure profit in Oil Marketting Companies then our country is going to match the status of tiny Nations like Burma and Bangla soon?

Vinod Kumar is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Diesel/petrol price increase is necessary

The profitability of the oil PSUs should not be the only justification for oil products price increase. But the crude oil price has risen and not passing on the burden to the consumer will distort the picture and delay solutions to the problem. First consumption of fuel should be reduced. Cars and private vehicles should be discouraged while public transport, railways and shipping should be encouraged. The communist govt in Bengal is going against their basic tenets by encouraging the Tatas to produce 1 lakh rupee cars. Already the roads in many cities are crawling with the explosion of two-wheelers, auto rikshaws and cars.

The oil product price increase is needed as it will encourage people to reduce the usage of fuel, use public transport and switch to alternates like bio-diesel.
