Thesis: "In vitro pollination in kacholam (Kaempferia galanga L.) for seed set"
Standardized the protocol of in vitro pollination in this endangered medicinal and aromatic crop. This is the first ever report of seed set in this plant and this protocol will be useful for crop improvement through selective in vitro hybridization.

Postgraduate seminar: "In vitro pollination: a tool for genetic improvement of crop plants" in October 2000.

B.Sc. (Horticulture) Obtained first class with distinction (OGPA 8.96 out of 10.0)

ACHIEVEMENTS:

Recipient of the Junior Research Fellowship awarded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for pursuing postgraduate research in horticulture.
Secured 10th rank in the all India entrance examination held by the ICAR in 1999 in the subject Horticulture.
Recipient of University gold medal for securing highest marks in B.Sc. (Horticulture) awarded by Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli.

EXPERIENCE:

Conducted postgraduate research on "In vitro pollination in kacholam (Kaempferia galanga L.) for seed set".
Undergone Rural Horticultural Work Experience (RHWE) programme for one semester during B.Sc. (Horticulture) at Kelve-Mahim, Palghar in Thane district.
Participated in DIPEX- 98 (a state level exhibition in Maharashtra state related to engineering innovations) and presented a model of Solar Dryer.
Worked as Gathering Secretary at College of Agriculture, Dapoli during 1997-98.
Worked as Deputy Secretary of the Students' Council at College of Agriculture, Dapoli during 1996-97.
Worked as volunteer of the National Service Scheme during 1997-99 and completed 240 hours of service for the same.
