Hi ,

Let me start with saying i have no knowledge about horticulture but as i came to know from one of my friend that this is something which i can think about to start something of my own.
I want to know few information rather lot of information :)
As i am reading about horticulture , flower growing is something which interests me .. I have no land .. so my journey starts with buying a land and then thinking about what to grow..
Well i want to know for a beginner who has no initial knowledge in this field , is it a good option .. How much money i may require to buy a land , growing some flower , maintenance etc.. i stay in pune .. i heard about HTC a training center about learning ... what would you suggest ? any more options , any literature or links which can help me to understand it in much better way . I want to start something of my own with less capital and i heard this can be one of the options. It will be great if i can get some information here ..

Dear Ruchita
Very good thinking. Your location is good interms of climate and market. If u have decided u will learn every thing, read some basic books of intermedite or graduation level where u can know little of soil, climate, nutrition, irrigation, weed management etc. For rest of things, there are large number of talented people, well experience in various fields of agriculture. I feel all are there to help people like u.
it will not involve much investment but knowldge and will.
thanks

Since I doubt your capabilities for this type of activity (after reading thru your text), I do not want to dishearten you.

What is your budget and educational qualification and who are the people you are relying on to help you with your day to day activities of this field?

Have you sourced buyers and prices for your produce?

We can provide you all sort of support to setup one farm but you should have the capability to maintain.
