ACTIVE is a not-for-profit, non-governmental development organization in Andhra Pradesh, India. Since its inception in 1985, we have been working in Khammam, an Agency District, in Andhra Pradesh, India. Our wide-ranging development interventions are spread across about 100 villages that are remote, forested and interior, covering about 3,500 indigenous and marginalized tribal families.

“ACTIVE believes that, access to livelihood, socio-political and ecological security is a basic human right and strives to organize them, to marginalized people deprived of these securities so that they are able to access them on their own”. In order to realize our mission, we are implementing Integrated Development programmes for the upliftment of indigenous poor.


We are promoting Jatropha plantations in 10000 acres and We would like to know that what is exactly Carbon credit and also do we qualify for the same. If yes how can we do and what is the procedure and how to claim carbon credit amounts offering by various bodies. Hope you will look into the matter and guide us to a right source.
