Finding Waterpoint for Borewell

Dear Friends

Could anyone suggest proper way to identify water points to sink borewells. I took services of a local villageman known for identifying points using Coconut & twigs. But the bore failed !

My farm is near Denkanikota, near hosur/bangalore.

Dear Sir,

You may approach the Agriculture Engineering Department,of Government of Tamil Nadu located in the District Head quarters (in Dharmapuri or Krishnagiri) who have trained personnel who can identify the points by using gadgets and by employing scientific methods. They identify many points and recommend the most suitable one.The success rate is fairly good.

Before digging borewell please ascertain whether your land falls in white area, as in grey and black areas, the ground water had been over exploited and the chances of getting ground water is minimal.

Dear Sir,

This information is also available with the agriculture engineering Department and with TAMIL NADU WATER SUPPLY AND DRAINAGE BOARD (TWAD) and also with the Block Development offices in each Block. You may also get the information from the Lead Bank (in your district it is Indian Bank, I think) and they can provide you this information as they formulate District Credit Plan every year for both Agriculture and Non Agriculture Projects.

I am Somu from Hindupur, Anantapur Dist. . In our area, a person walk around the field and locate a point where he feels sufficient water is available. Accordingly, borewells have been dug and success rate is good. In case you believe in this process, you may call me.
