I am looking for information on crop insurance. Are the horticulture plants (mango, banana, rose) eligible for crop insurance scheme? Are general insurance companies providing crop insurance? What are the eligibility criteria and how does the premium worked out? Has any one in the forum availed crop insurance? Please advice.

I am in Bihar.I am looking for insuring sugarcane crop standing in my field.The area is approx. 10 hectare .Iwant to insure it against disease and external damage.Kindly advise and let me know the formula for calculating premium.
