Dear friend,

Muringa is not suitable for commercial cultivation in Kerala, because high humidity climate. It is only suitable in dry climate like Tamilnadu. Try locally successful crops like pineapple, banana(Nenthran) etc...

Is it wise to cultivate Moringa plants in coconut plantation near Chennai. Our farm is about 20 kms crow flying distance from sea coast. Being close to sea our humidity is fairly high.

If it is wise to cultivate Moringa commercially in our area, then please advise what variety should we try.

Dear Friend

Moringa can be intercropped in long-gestation orchards, moringa has been extensively grown in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and in a small way in Orissa and Maharashtra.

PKM-1 and PKM-2, both these varieties are being widely grown by the farmers as pure crop and as intercrop as well.
