The procedure is bit critical, but still I can help you to understand. I am returning to India pune in July.
some introduction about this carbon trading

"Chicago Climate Exchange® (CCX®) is the world’s fi rst and North America’s only active voluntary, legally binding integrated trading system to reduce emissions of all six greenhouse gases (GHGs), with offset Projects worldwide. CCX employs independent verifi cation and has been trading GHG emission reductions since 2003. CCX Members that cannot reduce their own emissions can purchase credits from those who make extra emission cuts or from verifi ed offset Projects. CCX issues tradable Carbon Financial Instrument™ (CFI™) contracts to owners or aggregators of eligible projects on the basis of sequestration, destruction or displacement of GHG emissions. Eligible projects include: agricultural methane, landfi ll methane, coal mine methane, agricultural and rangeland soil carbon, forestry and renewable energy, among others."

for More details we will be in touch by mail

Carbon credit trading awaits govt nod

PTI[ TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 2007 02:15:22 PM]

NEW DELHI: Commodity exchanges NCDEX and MCX are gearing up to launch futures trading in carbon credit but will have to wait till the Parliament passes the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Amendments Bill, 2006.

"The proposed amendment would allow commodity exchanges to trade in non-deliverable goods, including carbon credit," a senior official of the Consumer Affairs Ministry told media.

The government had last year tabled the amendment bill in Parliament. At present, the exchanges cannot trade in indices, but only in goods that can be actually delivered.

Officials at NCDEX and MCX said they were all set to launch carbon trading as and when the government allows.

"We are fully prepared. Whenever the government allows trading of intangible, we can launch emission trading," NCDEX Chief Strategist Narender Gupta said.

Gupta, however, said it is to be seen how the market opens up before the exchange takes a final decision.
He said opportunities in India would increase once all countries sign the Kyoto protocol treaty that has fixed a target for countries to reduce their greenhouse gas emission level within a particular period.

"Presently, a lot of interest is happening in over-the- counter market," Gupta said, adding the emission trade was taking place between companies of two countries.

Another national level commodity bourse MCX too is keen to kick off carbon trading once government permits.

US-based Chicago Climate Exchange is the only commodity bourse in the world that offers futures trading in carbon.

The current global price for one tonne of carbon dioxide at the exchange hovers around $3.35. The total trade in this year's carbon futures as on June 15 stood at $43,885 while it was $6,63,300 in 2006.

Default Towards a Greener & Cleaner Future

I/We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our company – BalanceClimate (http://www.BalanceClimate.com), which provides various products/services to mitigate Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

As you are aware, Greenhouse gas effect plays an important role in Global warming that could effect seasons, sea level and disrupt Eco systems. Human activity increases the concentration of Greenhouse gas effect, primarily through the release of Co2 (Carbon dioxide), which is an important component of Greenhouse gas.

The primary objective of the Balanceclimate is that it acts as an Offset Project Aggregator between actual Project owner(s) and other multi national organizations to trade carbon credits. Balanceclimate is a Chicago (USA) based start-up company that has collaboration with some US voluntary and non voluntary organizations. In addition, it is closely working with its parent concern - GreenEarth Bio Tech (http://www.GreenEarthBio.com), a leader in the Eco friendly agro input products through various microbial inoculants to control GHG emissions.

Basically, Balanceclimate identifies potential GHG emission mitigation projects and converts them into actual carbon credits that can be mainly traded in United States and Europe. For instance, power generation through Windmill is an ideal GHG mitigation project that comes under renewable energy source category. As every electric unit produced through windmill project removes some amount of Carbon dioxide (co2) that exists in the atmosphere, eventually this power unit can be converted as an equivalent carbon emission credit (CER). In this scenario, Balanceclimate prepares all required artifacts including carbon emission calculations and produce them to required organizations, which are willing to buy these carbon credits.

Similarly, BalanceClimate has also been working with various other Eco friendly GHG reduction projects such as low (conservative) tillage, Bio fuel from Jatropha, Azolla-Green Field, Bio-fertilizer, Bio-Mosquito control and so on.

Please contact us for further details.
