Default Coleus planting

Hi,
Here are the ways to plant medicinal Coleus.
In most areas, the crop is planted during June- July at the onset of the Southwest monsoon. Before planting, the field is deeply ploughed and brought to a fine tilth. Further the land is prepared into ridges and furrows at a spacing of 60cm and the rooted cuttings or seedlings are planted 20cm apart within a row.

Coleus is commecially propagated by terminal cuttings.
Soil requirement for the crop ----------- porous well drained soils with a pH of 5.5 to 7 are very well suitable.
Climate--------------- Coleus is a crop of tropics. In India its commercially grown in Belgaum and Gujarat.

With Bets Wishes
