Chhatishgarh is proving a ideal place for the production of patchouli. Unexpected growth and yield is being achieved. Those having irrigation facilities may opt for its cultivation. With a minimum 20-25 quintals dry herb, production of 40-50kg oil/acre is easily achieved which may featch approx.Rs.90,000/=.Higher yields up to60-80 can be expected under good management ie.sprinkler/dip irrigation.
