Default Business proposal

I have professional qualification in Agriculture (M.Sc.Ag in Soil and Water Conservation) couple with agribusiness. I possess rich & varied experience of over 22 years in cross functional areas like agro-based rural marketing, agribusiness, organic farming & certification, market planning and survey, rural technology and extension services, bio-fuel plantation, monitoring and evaluation, community development including micro enterprises and micro-financing, capacity building, women empowerment, natural resources management, health, literacy, rural and social Development for sustainable livelihood.

Presently working deeply in Bundelkhand Region of U P and MP towards promotion and production Organic foods and Jatropha Plantation through NGO and Farmers participation.

Jatropha mission of U P is in Joint venture of BPCL, Nandan Biomatrics,Shapoorji Pallonji and supported by UP Govt. Presently, they are going to tie-up with every Panchayat of selected Districs to plant Jatropha on Panchayat lands. Jatropha seeds will be buy back by BPCL in long run. Operation of this mission may be very slow due to Govt., Panchayat and N R E G S ( Narega) involvement. IOC also planning to enter in UP as well as others. This project is running under rough weather due to many reasons.

Individuals farmers are ready plants Jatropha in their useless and waste lands and want buy-back agreement like contract farming. Bundelkhand has lots of waste land (Min 6-7 lakh ha ) which are best suited for Jatropha and other hand Districts of Eastern UP have saline and waste lands which are also suitable for plantation.

We are also engaged in collection of Karanj , Mahua and Neem Seeds from this area and supply to buyers. I would like to have an association for promotion of bio-fuel and supply of TBO seeds on long term basis.

With regards.

Jatropha plantation in costal part of Maharashtra(Kokan) - Is it a cost-effective proposition? Jatropha plantation on a fence should be a cost-effective proposition. What is your opinion?

Default

We are interested in Jatropha Plantation in Moradabad UP.

I have a concern here, we have seen lot of people selling planting material under buyback, but these people vanishes off after getting the payment of the planting material, secondly the rates quotes at the time of project for the yield are never achieved

we did planted some plants 3 years ago, but were not able to find a single buyer for Jatropha seeds

Thanks & Regards

Harshchandra
