Post Is going for bio-diesel plant worthy ??

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have just completed my engineering & planning to go for some business venture.
Do you people think going for plantationof jatropha & in future bio-diesel plant a financially viable option?
I have gathered some information that it doesnot require a large capital.
Please help in taking decidion of quiting job (25k / month) & starting this plantation & bio-diesel business.
can any current cultivator of jatropha & person with knowledge of bio-diesel plant please do help me with some financial figures.(like amount to be invested .....likely return from it......& some basic details which would be helpful ).

Dear Anand,

Bio-diesel is a big hype and even today there isnt a single bio-diesel manufacturer carrying out economical production of bio-diesel in India.

When Jatropha seeds are being selling for Rs.40/Kg it would be suicidal for anyone to crush them leave apart turning the oil into bio-diesel.

Essential oils and aromtics offer a wonderful opportunity to budding enterprenurs. Although few people are aware of it but we make use of essential oils right from brishing in the morning to using a mosquito repellent at night

Check out our website. If it interests you in anyways feel free to write to me.

Dear Anand and Nikunj,

I agreed with Nikunj, growing crops for bio fuels makes little sense, it is simply compounding on what is a growing shortage of food around the world.

Essential oils are growing rapidly in demand and I believe it will continue, crops that have known medicinal properties and appeal to the 'Nature Health' markets will continue to grow.

Kind Regards,
Vince

may be today the price of non edible oils are more , over a period of time when more of jatropha cultivation comes naturally the price has to come down . Ofcourse all said &done bio diesel ( fuel ) is the answer for the future , more particularly to the villages . . Cultivation of jatropha is worth as you can end upto producing electrical energy by means of biogas plant
using jatropha cake , that itself is project of benefit to the villages .
