Indian Government Policy on BioDiesel

There has been a lot of discussion on the cultivation of Jatropha and producing BioDiesel from it.

It has been proven that this IS a viable opportunity for Entrepreneurs and Investors.

But, what does the Indian /Tamilnadu Government Policy talks about SELLING OF BioDiesel?

Can a small private enterprise/company (non-government) produce and sell BioDiesel in open market? Is there any regulations on pricing? Is there any Quality Standards available for BioDiesel, like ISI?

Leave apart bio-diesel for the time being Jatropha has made people selling mere seeds Millionaires.

Even if not bio-diesel non-edible oil as such has a high market in soap making. Even today any non-edible oil is not available for less than the price of diesel then why bother about processing jatropha oil into bio-diesel
