Exactly 30years ago The Janata govt.under Morarjibhai introduced oilpalm to Indians courtesy in the name of Price and short supplies of edible oils within the country under OGL.
The refined oil was sold@140/Tin of 15Kgs and it was a ceiling on that produc.
No excise duty.
Then came the boomers!!!
They not only eliminated the indigenous oils but also invited the Malaysian intruders to settle down in this country to declare OILPALM the National oil and today the price of the very same oil in India is Rs70/liter.
I would like to repeat its almost 2000USD/Mt.

Its rather shame to allow a foreign product to sustain in this wonderful agri nation at the expense of poor consumers who may even asked to eat animal waste in near future?????
