On the web you may look at:
S V Lele, Mumbai Sampada Farms & Consultants, Andhra Pradesh Medors Biotech Introduction To Jatropha In India, Delhi NEDFi Biodiesel, Assam The Centre for Jatropha Promotion website at Churu Rajasthan (jatrophaworld.org) is currently unavailable. But it was a good site. Maybe the website is renamed. Centre for Jatropha Promotion, Churu Rajasthan CHHATTISGARH BIOFUEL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY Cheers Last edited by Vinod Kumar; 11-20-2007 at 09:45 AM. |

Labland biotech Private Limited. D.1 oils. Jatropha agro Private Limited. unfortunately, Many sites are dead or likely to be dead including the one of mine soon. Thanks to the silent revolution of the central Govt. to resist the growth of biofuels. Its almost a 7and a half years saturn for people who spent money from their pockets to gain some xperience especially out of over confidence due to many miscreants who minted money by selling planting materials otherwise not a single Jatropha oil based Biodiesel could be seen so far in the country. Many advocated here for poongamia in the name of nativity and IIsc and finally settling to compromise on fish oil...... One can not be Mittals or Ambanis at least right now with no buyers for jatropha seeds for a genuine price of Rs10/kg. well! Iam just in the process of smelling the fumes of jatropha oil after working hard for nearly four fine years. Best of luck. Bhadrinath. Last edited by k1jatrophaoils; 11-19-2007 at 10:08 PM. |

How are the buyers able to pay so much? Clearly it cannot be for bio-diesel production as it would require at least 2 kg of Jatropha to produce 1 litre of bio-diesel. It cannot fetch more than Rs 35-40. Are they making money out of the glycerine?
I earnestly hope that they are not using the jatropha oil for adulteration of edible oils. Maybe they are using the seeds for further plantation. But this cannot continue for years. At some stage, the price of the seed will have to be related to the price of its derived products. Such high prices for Jatropha points to the danger that farmers may be tempted to displace food related products for jatropha. |
