01dto asked for the price of 20 MT of Jatropha oil and Ankit replied that it is USD 3500 CIF HK. This works out to be 17.5 US cents per Kg or around INR 7 per Kg. I think he has quoted for Jatropha seed and not oil.

The price offered per kg of raw Jatropha seed appears to be around US cents 5 per kg in Indonesia and US cents 12 per Kg in India (INR 5/per Kg). Hence the price quoted US cents 17.5 per Kg is comparable if it is for seed. For oil it is too low. Let us hear from Ankit.
