The cost of milking machines of various makes are as under:-
    1. single cluster machine - Rs. 40000/- to 50000/-
    2. double cluster machine - Rs. 60000/- to 75000/-
    3. four cluster machines - Rs. 100000/- to Rs. 140000/-
Good brands include GEA Westfalia and Vansun.

Note:- Do not even think of purchasing Delavel machines as their after sales service is pathetic.

    Dear All,
Commercial milking machine must have following components:-
    1. Vaccum Compressor
    2. Vaccum Tank
    3. Pulsators
    4. Clusters
    6. Electric motor.

Any good milking machine must ensure a vaccum level of 38 to 44 mercury and pulsation ratio of 4:1 or 60 pulse per minute. You cant get a 1 HP motor alone for Rs. 750/-. This manual prototype may be a good lab model but in farm situation you require a machine which is robust and can milk atleast 15 cows per hour i.e. a two cluster milking machine. Even the milk pipes and vaccum tubes will be costing much more. If the Rs 750/- or 7500/- whatever it is, model is successful , i would be glad to know how many machines they have exported so far and how many of those machines are being used at commercial dairy farms in india which have more than 30 cattle.
