In Konkan region u can go for Tulsi occimum basilicum, patchauli, aloevera, brahmi, lemon grass, vinca rosea, tuberose.

The best method for progagation is vegetative if u want true to type.
seeds are also good but will require more time and then little bit variation fro the original genotype.
