What is the ideal distance for planting saplings for planting coconut trees [saplings], I have read reprts ranging from 10 feet between trees to 7.6 metres between trees.

What should be the exact distance?

Dear Sir

If ur planting only coconut as a single crop u may keep the spacing as 5mts. But ifur willing to do intercropping u can keep 7.6mts.

Single or inter crop maintain 40 feet in between,( 25plants /acre)

The distance between trees should be 22 feet.The concept is that the branches of adjacent trees should not touch each other,otherwise the yield gets reduced.Approximately 72 to 75 trees can be planted per acre.
