Desi murgi farm

Hello,

Please guide me regarding setting up a farm of Desi Hens and cocks. We have shed, water, electricity in Karjat (maharashtra). Will I have to purchase small chicks or adult desi hens and cocks? My income will depend on eggs or meat? What will be the mortality rate in this project? Is there any farmer working on such project in Maharashtra.

initially u will have to know all the procedures required to raise the desi hens.U will have to practically visit some farms.
If u first make avisit to some of the kvks or agriculture departments close by u can get initial startup ideas. pls try to contact the below kvk whichever is nearby to u.

From where can I get information regarding medication/vaccination for desi chicken ?
I have about 60 birds (Naked neck). The hens have started laying eggs as well.
