Hi Vishnu,
Sandal wood is mainly grown in southern states of India.In karnataka it is grown in Dharwad,Shimoga,Chickmangulur,Tumkur,Hassan,Coorg, Mysore,Kolar and Bangalore.
In Tamil Nadu it is grown in Coimbatore,Nillgiri,Madurai,Ramanathapuram,Kanyaku mari,Salem and Vellore.
In AP it is grown in Cudappah,Hyderabad,Kurnool,Chittor and Ananthapur.Beside this on small scale it is grown in Maharasthra,Orrisa and Kerala.Karnataka have 125000 hectare and AP have 1100 hecatre area in its cultivation.Annual production is around 2000 tonnes.
