Default information required about by-products from banana fibre

Sir,

I am Rajesh Kumar, an agriculture consultant operating from Nilgiris district. One year ago, I have thought of giving training to women SHG members who can earn substantial income for their family in addition to their day-to-day activities.

I have also arranged for intensive training to the said SHG members. The group members also underwent the trial production for one month. But surprisingly the result was negative. Because the group members felt that the handicraft production from banana fibre was cumborsome and not renumerative.

Since then I was thinking of some other alternative methods to re-equip the project. considering the difficulties that I have faced, If you can provide me the suggestive measures, I am ready to invest in the project as per your guidance.

Thanking you,

K. Rajesh Kumar,
Agriculture Consultant, Nilgiris.
