Project report on hybrid casuarina sp cultivation

Plants:
2200 plants are planted in 1 acre with 5 feet between rows and 4 feet Between and within the rows.

Harvest:
Hybrid casuarina sp - c.junghuhniana will ready for harvest by 3 rd year itself - we can allow the crop to grow up to 5 th year.

Single tree average weight Will be ranging from 60 -70 kg and will give more than 100 MT /Acre of pole structure - Highly suitable and being used for various works/purpose in construction industry ; Also this wood is the main source of raw material for woodpulp / pulpwood in paper industries .

Buyback: supported Buyback rates is Rs 2000/- per MT in Tamil nadu - During Harvest the paper industry gives Cutting and Transport Expenses . But in general the Pole Structure rate will be always additional Rs 1000 higher / MT - than the minimum support price being given by the paper industry.

YIELD: Average population 2000 plants /acre x 50 Kg= 100 MT of PULPWOOD in a 1 acre land.

COST OF CULTIVATION

Cost of Seedling Rs 7.50 /plant for 2200 plants 16500

Cost of preparatory cultivation for planting 3500

Planting and others 5000

Crop maintenance for 3/5 year 12500

Drip irrigation system/ acre 12500

Total RS 50000

Income

For 100 MT Pulpwood - average price of

@ Rs 2500/ MT 2 ,50,000

less expenses 50,000

Net income 2,00,000

NOTE In Drip with Fertigation system an additional 50 % Yield is possible over the normal regular irrigation system .

We are having 5 acres of land and would like to do casurina cultivation. where can I get the seedlings ? Can I tie up with any paper industry now itself..? Pls send me more details. Land is near Kanchipuram/Chinglepet.

WE ARE INTERESTED IN GROWING CASURINA IN ATLEAST 5 ACRES OF LAND. CAN YOU PROVIDE COMPLETE PROJECT? WHAT TYPE OF SOIL AND THE REQUIREMENT OF IRRIGATION, AVAILABILITY OF PLANTING MATERIALS ETC.

sir i want to cultivate hybrid casurina in my 10 acres of land available in kumbakonam. The land is with good irrigation facilities.I would like to take up plantation in january 2009.please guide me.
