NABARD is an apex level development bank entrusted with a mandate (through refinance) for the promotion and development of agriculture, small-scale industries, cottage and village industries, handicrafts and other rural crafts. Cofinancing

Over the years, in tune with the changing credit market scenario, NABARD has ventured into cofinance, as consortium partner with major commercial banks and other agencies.

Chandigarh Regional Office of NABARD, looking after the credit needs of Punjab and Haryana, is interested in direct financing of major agro-based projects, involving sunrise technology, by reputed promoters through cofinancing arrangements with other banks. We have with us technical experts in various agro-disciplines who will be able to appraise the projects through our subsidiary NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS).

Some of our areas of interests include, among others, Minor Irrigation, Land Development, Plantation & Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry and Wasteland, Fisheries , Animal Husbandry, Biotechnology, Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, to name a few.

The project may be in Himachal Pradesh. But if your banker is in Chandigarh and he would like to cofinance with NABARD, then we can still consider evaluating the project. Please let us know in which area you wanted our support under cofinance.
