Thumbs up MANGIUM is it a right choice for India?

Mangium nurseries ruled the country ten years back. Many farmers across the Souther States especiallly Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka plated Mangium trees. But almost all vanished. People who sold Mangium plants promised Sky & Earth to the farmers. They assured mililions and millions to the farmers by showing simple out put of wood and selling it at Rs.200/- to Rs.500/- cu feet.

What happened? Let me know one farmer who become MILLIONARE by planting Mangium

Again many people are offering Mangium for the present new generation. BE AWARE. Wood Research Station, Bangalore, Forest Research Station, Dehradun and Coimbatore never encouraged Mangium plantation. All of the calculations and output is a trash. Dont believe Mangium. You can check up my statement with any of the agriculture universites, colleges and institutions.

Best option is TEAK. Where you are purchasing teak is not a question. How you are maintaining it is important. Come to us we will provide you the REAL experiances of the farmers who cultivated Mangium and teak. Best options for Indian conditions:
  • Teak
  • Eucalyptus
  • Casurina
  • Poplar
  • Subabul
These are the primary varieties suitable for us. One can choose the right variety accorting to the agro climatic conditions, available natural resources, expectations and investment capability. Many institutions, paper industries and corporate companies are doing a lotof work on these plants. Nobody is doing any R & D work on Mangium. It is proven and SUICIDICAL to go for Mangium cultivation. It may hurt the feeling of many people who are encouraging Mangium and who already invested a lot on Mangium. But to make money dont play with farming community.

Recommended teak cultivation practice
  1. Plant density in an acre - 870; Row to Row distance 10ft. and Plant to Plant distance 5feet.
  2. Thin 50% plants at the end of 6th year.
  3. Teak plants responds well for irrigation, fertilisers, pest & disase management and plant training.
  4. From a well maintained form at the end of 6th year, one can expect Rs.500/- from each harvested tree. At this time of 6th year it wont have any timber quality. It is callled as Teak pole.
  5. At the end of 12 year again you can harvest 50% in remaining plants of 435. From this second harvest you can expect a minimum of Rs.8/- lakhs. In well maintained form it is more.
  6. The remaining plants approx 215 are the real stuff. At the end of 18th year you can strike a booty.
For detailed information, you can send us a questionaire to our e mail address. For best quality teak plants and the cultivation consultancy for large scale teak plantation you can contact us.
