Hi friends, furure farmers and especially for new dairy farmers.

Good day, thanks for the overwhelming support for my blogs on dairy farming.

I am here today to briefly discuss on few things for probable (new )dairy farmers who wish to start thier dairy farms (medium to large).

I know many dont know where to start in Dairy farming. I would to suggest, first thing is to attend a training program, but not in a agri university of in a livestock husbandary department, but it should be in a running dairy farm.

6. you can see chaff cutter and get trained in using them.

7. You can get trained in concentrates mixture and work on feed mixes hands on.

8. you can also compare and construct your own project with me and prepare a bankable project for loans.

9. You will also get a complete Dairy industry report with more than 600 pages with all details about Dairy worth Rs 4500. ( color digital print with top quality).

10. This package includes free accomadation, free food. And continous support in starting your farm. Consultancy is free.

Dear Srinivas,

Thanks for providing details regarding dairy farming , I have downloaded various aspect of dairy farming from internate, but on site training is one should have before starting the small or large farms, Thanks you for the initiative you have taken.... I have started with 7 nos of jersy crossbreed cows with 8-10 litres daily milk yeild, for that constructed shed ,godown & labour cottages.... Now i want to have training at your farm please Send details on my Email regarding Duration of course-training, Total cost & how to reach your farm,

HI Sandeep, the training will be at Thottiyam, Trichy, Tamilnadu state. This is 320 Km from Chennai on the banks of river Kaveri.

Thanks for the replies. The trainin cost would be 17K with a 800 page digital print Dairy hand book worth 4500. And with accomodation and food of course. dates need to be finalized shortly.

Hi,

I am Sanjay Garg from Hisar, Haryana. I am interested in opening a diary with 100 units of cows or buffaloes. Please suggest me that to start a diary with cows is more profitable or with buffaloes.

I have a land about 4000 sq yards with a good source of drinking water and this land is very near to our city. The neighbor land is good for the availability of feed.

How could I get the loan on this project? Let me know that which department offers subsidy on this type of project.

Personally I am also capable to start this business.

Hi.
Do have a look at http://sites.google.com/site/viveklpm/ for a Small Scale Dairy Farm Project Report as per NABARD guidelines which can be customized as per your needs i.e. you can change the number, milk yield & cost of animals, sale price of milk, bank loan rate, repayment period etc. and observe its impact on profitability in the spreadsheet.
Many other Projects are also being developed for progressive farmers.
