Where can I get good quality seeds and when is the right time to plant alfalfa?

Hi.
I want to plant Alfaalfa in my orchard as a green manure..Can u Pls tell me from where can I get good quality seeds and when is the right time to plant alfalfa?
My farm is in Punjab..I want to use it as a green manure in my citrus orchard along with chana..!
Kindly Guide accordingly
