Smile Heifer Characteristics....

Dear Sir,

The present rate of good crossbred cow is around 30-35,000/- depending upon the milk yield in their lactation (in this case the yield would be at least 4500-5000 litres ) which roughly means about 15 Litres per day on an average.

In purchasing heifers it is very important to know the mother as well as the sire whose Semen had been used for this impregnating the mother. Based on this we can roughly get an idea as to how much milk this Heifer will give. However please note that the milk yield will gradually increase from 1st to 4 th lactation & thereafter it will start decreasing.

The Milk yield as well as the growth of heifer will always depend upon the Feeding (balanced) as well as management which will also determine as to when it will be ready to give the first calf.
It is important to note that the heifer should be at least 250 Kgs weight before it can be inseminated with a good quality semen.

The cost of feeding & management will depend upon the various feed ingredients, fodder availability etc.

Please CALL( on Mobile) so as to explain better. DONT POST.
