EXPERIENCE
• Presently working as Area Manager with reputed company in Punjab, managing vegetable farms of 1500 acres along with an organic farm of 72 acres. Job responsibilities are to ensure every management practice for the crop starting from sowing to harvest. Main crops are peas, cauliflower, snowpeas, sugarsnaps, okra, bottle gourd, bitter gourd, sponge gourd, brinjal, baby corn, cotton, French beans, cowpea etc.
• Experience of screening disease resistant varieties, determining variability in pathogens, management techniques for fungal, bacterial and viral diseases,data recording and analyses as evident from M. Sc. And Ph. D. research work.
• Two years and seven months experience as SRF in the project entitled " Integrated Management of Bacterial wilt of Tomato in Himachal Pradesh " w.e.f. 21st April, 2001 to 30th Nov., 2003.
• Two years four months experience as Research Associate in the All India Coordinated Project for Wheat And Barley Improvement” w.e.f 18th Dec., 2003 to 12th May, 2006.
I have practical (hands on) experience in the following areas of plant pathology :
• Screening of varieties for resistance against various diseases.
• Evaluation of chemicals against pests and diseases.
• Plant disease diagnoses.
• All plant pathological techniques.
• Data collection, analysis, interpretation and report writing
